The Brashear Bulls came into Wednesday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past Perry Traditional Academy 54-20 at home on Wednesday. Brashear pushed the score to 38-10 by the end of the third, a deficit the Commodores had little chance of recovering from.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Brashear to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ra'Nyah Morris, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Morris has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last three times she's played. Ariana Sherrill was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with two steals.
Brashear's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Perry Traditional Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brashear will challenge the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Carrick is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Perry Traditional Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against the Dragons at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
