There's no place like home for the Rio Americano Raiders, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Pajaro Valley 58-25 at home.
Rio Americano was led to victory by Brianna St. Jean and Katie Ghazanfari. St. Jean scored 14 points, while Ghazanfari scored 17 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Ghazanfari has scored at least 25% of Rio Americano's points. Another player making a difference was Areyana Francies, who scored 8 points.
Rio Americano's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Pajaro Valley, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Rio Americano will head out on the road to face off against Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kennedy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Rio Americano in California (Kennedy is ranked 259th, while Rio Americano is ranked 942nd). As for Pajaro Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rancho San Juan at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
