Given Lick-Wilmerding's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 268th, while the Blues are ranked 855th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Emmie Hou was a one-man wrecking crew for Lick-Wilmerding as she scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hou has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Lauryn Lacap, who scored eight points along with six assists and three steals.
Lick-Wilmerding is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. As for Urban, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-14.
Lick-Wilmerding will head out on the road to square off against the Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. San Domenico is coming into the game hot, having won their last nine games. As for Urban, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Wildcats at 5:30 p.m.
