The Jersey Shore Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 21 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Selinsgrove on Friday as Jersey Shore made off with a 50-25 win. Given Jersey Shore's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 137th, while Selinsgrove is ranked 470th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Cailyn Schall, who scored 19 points along with nine steals. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Jocelyn McCracken, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Gillian Hackenberg and Natalie Howell certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Hackenberg scored nine points, while Howell scored eight points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hackenberg has scored all season.
The win makes it two in a row for Jersey Shore and bumps their season record up to 8-3. As for Selinsgrove, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-8.
