Kell faced Cambridge in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Longhorns were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Bears. Considering the Longhorns have won five matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Kell's fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Cambridge, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 9-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kell will challenge Westminster at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Longhorns 3.5, the Wildcats 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Cambridge, they will take on Mount Vernon at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mustangs will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
