Katella unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 44-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Godinez Fundamental. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Katella in their matchups with the Grizzlies: they've now lost seven in a row.
Meanwhile, Segerstrom can now show off 16 landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They blew past Westminster 66-25 on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-15.
Katella's defeat dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Segerstrom, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.
Katella was dealt a bruising 59-32 loss at the hands of the Jaguars when the teams last played back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Segerstrom's Stephanie Valenciano, who scored 25 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. Now that Katella knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
