After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Del Oro, Mojave was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They blew past the Trona Tornadoes 18-7. The Mustangs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The team relied heavily on Vidal Mora, who went 4-for-5 with seven RBI, three runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Jordan Maseuli, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Mojave always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .692. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Mojave's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Trona, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mojave will take on Mendota at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Trona, they will face off against Immanuel Christian at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
