The Williamson Warriors will head out on the road to challenge the Wyalusing Valley Rams at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Williamson is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
Williamson can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent match on Monday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 58-13 win over Galeton. Given Williamson's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 238th, while Galeton is ranked 713th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Williamson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Olivia Meisner, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 17 rebounds. Meisner is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Taylor Rae Jones, who scored 13 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Wyalusing Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Sayre last Monday, taking the game 19-10. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Wyalusing Valley has scored all season.
Williamson is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. As for Wyalusing Valley, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-7.
Williamson was able to grind out a solid win over Wyalusing Valley in their previous meeting back in January, winning 46-33. The rematch might be a little tougher for Williamson since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
