After flying high against Torres on Monday, Crenshaw came back down to earth. The Cougars were just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 34-33 to the George Washington Prep Generals. The Cougars' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

George Washington Prep found their leader in sophomore Kah'Marri Cooper, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was My'Atri Goodwin, who posted four points along with nine boards and seven steals.

Crenshaw's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for George Washington Prep, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Crenshaw won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against King/Drew at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for George Washington Prep, they will also get right back to it: they'll challenge Fremont at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
