Mt. Zion had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Everything went their way against the Wadley Bulldogs as they made off with an 18-8 win. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won four contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Mt. Zion's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Wadley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Zion will welcome Douglas County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Douglas County has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.4 runs per game on average), something Mt. Zion will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Wadley, they will be playing at home against Comer at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
