Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Lynwood Knights walked away with it. They walked away with a 52-44 win over the Centaurs on Thursday. The victory was familiar territory for Lynwood who now have seven in a row.
It was another big night for Taliyah Mcferson, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds. Shanilah Ewing was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with four steals and two blocks.
Lynwood pushed their record up to 17-11 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Culver City, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-13.
Lynwood will be playing in front of their home fans against Esperanza at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Esperanza knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully Lynwood likes a good challenge. Culver City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
