The St. David Tigers had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They claimed a resounding 58-21 victory over North Valley Christian Academy at home. St. David has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 games by 20 points or more this season.
Anissa Jacquez was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 18 rebounds. She hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Hart, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds.
The win (which was St. David's sixth in a row) raised their record to 26-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.7 points per game. As for North Valley Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-15 record this season.
St. David has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Salome at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th. Salome is coming into the contest with seven straight wins on the road, meaning St. David will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory. North Valley Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
