On Saturday, St. Anthony was able to grind out a solid win over King/Drew, taking the game 54-46. Given St. Anthony's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 25th, while King/Drew is ranked 88th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ryann Bennett continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points along with two steals. She has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times she's played. Kadence Lloyd was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with 14 rebounds.
St. Anthony is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. As for King/Drew, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-6.
