The West Valley Mustangs will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against the San Jacinto Leadership Academy Lions at 3:00 p.m. on December 20th.
West Valley's 16-5 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They had to suffer through a rough 58-26 loss at the hands of Tahquitz. While losing is never fun, West Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1208th, while Tahquitz is ranked 406th).
Meanwhile, San Jacinto Leadership Academy beat Packinghouse Christian Academy 44-31 on Tuesday.
Braidyn Thomas and Jordyn Crawford were among the main playmakers for San Jacinto Leadership Academy as the former scored six points along with 25 rebounds and the latter dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds. Thomas also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Abiigail Malak, who scored 13 points along with four steals.
West Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for San Jacinto Leadership Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
