The St. Mary's Central Saints pushed their score all the way to 42 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 55-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Shanley. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Friday (38), St. Mary's Central still had to take the loss.
Landon Meier had an outrageously good game for Shanley as he threw for 334 yards and five touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Carson Busek was another key contributor, picking up 94 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
St. Mary's Central has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Shanley, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
St. Mary's Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Shanley will look to defend their home field on October 27th against West Fargo at 7:00 p.m. West Fargo is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
