It was a good run, but the Chowchilla Tribe unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Sierra, falling 69-29. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Chowchilla in their matchups with Sierra: they've now lost nine in a row.
Despite the defeat, Chowchilla saw an underclassman step up: Nour Escheik dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Escheik has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Molly Silva, who scored six points along with two steals.
Chowchilla's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Sierra, they pushed their record up to 14-6 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chowchilla will challenge Liberty at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sierra, they will head out on the road to square off against Parlier at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
