After trailing 14-13 at the half, the Hawks went ahead on a touchdown pass by
Justin Arnold to
Calvin Buesgens with 8:00 left in the third. Brainerd finally took the lead for good when they ran for a touchdown with 7:00 left in the third quarter.
Both teams scored six points in the third quarter, so the margin remained at one at the start of the fourth.
The defeat comes as a step back for Chaska, which notched a 21-20 victory over Andover in its previous outing.
