Basketball Recap: Kade Wright Key Part of a Team Effort in Hornets Win

Medora won the last time they faced Lighthouse Christian Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Medora Hornets took down the Lighthouse Christian Academy Lions 76-57. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hornets.

Medora's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kade Wright led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 25 points and nine boards. The dominant performance also gave Wright a new career-high in assists (five). Another player making a difference was Jaxon Nugen, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 21 points and four steals.

Medora was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lighthouse Christian Academy only racked up five assists.

Despite the loss, Lighthouse Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Brock Banks, who went 11 of 22 on his way to 29 points and five rebounds. The matchup was Banks' 13th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Timothy Lautenbach, who posted four points and six rebounds.

Medora now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Lighthouse Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Medora didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 62-34 win against Eminence on the 7th. As for Lighthouse Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 92-76 defeat against Crothersville on the 13th.
