The Towanda Black Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 62-49 to Mansfield. Towanda has not had much luck with Mansfield recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Karson Dominick was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 27 points and 11 rebounds for Mansfield. Those 11 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Cooper Shaw, who scored nine points along with six assists and five steals.
Towanda bumped their record down to 1-5 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Mansfield, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Towanda will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Wyalusing Valley at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Mansfield will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Edison at 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday.
