Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Vista Ridge

Vista Ridge entered their tilt with Rampart on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 15-12 victory over the Rams. That's more bragging rights for the Wolves, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Vista Ridge got a big performance out of Jaylani Jusino, who went 2-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple was Jusino's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Justine Laulu, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Vista Ridge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive matchups.

Vista Ridge's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Rampart, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vista Ridge will challenge Ponderosa at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rampart, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against The Classical Academy at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Titans have averaged an impressive 10.5 runs per game this season.
