The Collegium Charter Cougar came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by The Christian Academy on the road to the tune of 50-18. That 32 points margin sets a new team best for Collegium Charter this season.
Kori Beasley continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points along with four steals and two blocks. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nasira Towles, who scored 13 points along with four steals.
Collegium Charter pushed their record up to 7-11 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for The Christian Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Collegium Charter will take on Dock Mennonite at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dock Mennonite is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak. As for The Christian Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Philadelphia Montgomery Christian Academy at 1:00 p.m. on January 27th. Philadelphia Montgomery Christian Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
