Brashear is 0-10 against Obama Academy of International Studies since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Brashear Bulls will head out on the road to take on the Obama Academy of International Studies Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Brashear will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
Brashear scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Sunday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Neighborhood Academy 60-19 on the road. That 41 points margin sets a new team best for Brashear this season.
Brashear can attribute much of their success to Ariana Sherrill, who scored 33 points. Sherrill continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Braiya Bowie, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 76-43, which was the final score in Obama Academy of International Studies' tilt against Taylor Allderdice on Tuesday.
Brashear now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Obama Academy of International Studies, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Brashear might still be hurting after the 62-37 defeat they got from Obama Academy of International Studies when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can Brashear avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
