Despite the defeat, Ventura saw an underclassman step up: Kailee Staniland scored 20 points along with 5 assists and 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Skyler Knight, who scored 16 points.
Mira Costa's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Ventura, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-1.
Mira Costa will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Oak Park at 7:00 p.m. on December 5th. Oak Park is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Ventura, they will head out on the road to face off against Dos Pueblos at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
