The Pacific Grove Breakers will square off against the Soquel Knights at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Both come into the  match bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Pacific Grove is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home  on Friday. They came out on top against Gilroy by a score of  6-1. The  win was a breath of fresh air for the Breakers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

 Rowen Meyer tossed a big game,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits while striking out seven over 4.1 innings pitched. Those  seven  strikeouts gave  him a new career-high.
 On the hitting side,  Ben Garry and  River Lyon did most of the damage at the plate:  Garry  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  stolen bases and two  RBI, while  Lyon  went 1-for-3 with three  RBI and one  double. The dominant performance gave  Garry a new career-high in  RBI.
Meanwhile, Soquel put another one in the bag  on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by  a  9-3 margin over Woodside. Fans of the Knights have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+  runs.
 Jake Escalante made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. That's the first time  he hasn't allowed a single  hit since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 In other pitching news, Soquel got a great performance from  Dylan Hull as he  pitched five innings while giving up  three earned runs off   four  hits.
 Back at the plate,  Hudson Summerrill was  excellent,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.  Gabe Virgallito was another key player,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 Soquel was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .393. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .344 or higher in three consecutive  games.
