The Governor Mifflin Mustangs will square off against the Wyomissing Spartans at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Governor Mifflin is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
Last Tuesday, things could have been worse for Governor Mifflin, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 53-39 loss to Wilson. While losing is never fun, Governor Mifflin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 144th, while Wilson is ranked 41st).
Meanwhile, Wyomissing had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 46-36 victory over Reading on Saturday. The win was just business As usual For Wyomissing, who after 23 games remain undefeated this season.
Amaya Stewart was her usual excellent self, scoring 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Annie Mccaffrey, who scored eight points.
Governor Mifflin's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Wyomissing, their win bumped their record up to 23-0.
