The Lemoore Tigers's game on Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They put the hurt on Kern Valley with a sharp 57-33 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-14.
When it comes to explaining why Kern Valley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jessie Bunting. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 12 points and 16 rebounds. Bunting scored a full 36.4% of Kern Valley's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklynn Robertson, who scored 7 points along with 10 rebounds.
The victory got Lemoore back to even at 3-3. As for Kern Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
Lemoore will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Selma at 7:00 p.m. on December 6th. As for Kern Valley, they will face off against Orosi at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Orosi comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
