The Midwest Central Raiders will face off against the Eureka Hornets at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Midwest Central will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
On Tuesday, Midwest Central made easy work of Peoria and carried off an 18-2 victory.
Jaxon Tumilty made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs but no hits. Tumilty was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Midwest Central got a massive performance out of Dalton Johnson, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Ryan Terrill was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two doubles.
The scorekeeper got an easy start on Tuesday as neither Eureka nor Olympia made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Hornets had just enough and edged out the Spartans 5-4. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
John Martin was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Adam Blunier, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.
Midwest Central's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Eureka, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
