After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Dos Pueblos, the Orcutt Academy Spartans were happy to have found some success  on Thursday. They really took it to Golden Valley for the full four quarters, racking up a  69-30 win on the road. With that  victory, Orcutt Academy brought their scoring average up to 55.7  points per game.
 Orcutt Academy found their leader in underclassman  Elizabeth Johnson, who  dropped  a double-double on 29 points and 16  rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which  Johnson has scored at least 25% of Orcutt Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ashley Barrientos, who  scored 20 points.
 Orcutt Academy's win bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Golden Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
 Orcutt Academy is on the road again  on December 9th and play against Hart at 1:30  p.m.  on December 9th. As for Golden Valley, they will look to defend their home court  on Tuesday against Taft at 6:30  p.m.
