Palmyra-Macedon extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 12-7. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Newark Reds. This was a revenge game for the Red Raiders: when they faced off against the Reds back in April, they had to take a 5-3 defeat.

Camron Quick made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Those 13 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Quick wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Bishop Ramage, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double was Ramage's first of the season.
As for Newark, they now have a losing record of 9-10. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.
On Newark's side, Cody Forjone spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on six hits. Forjone also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Reds are 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-9 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Jayce Baker made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.
Coming up, Palmyra-Macedon is taking a road trip to take on Wayne at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so the Red Raiders' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Newark, they will challenge Midlakes at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
