The Windber Ramblers waltzed into their match on Monday with seven straight wins but they left with eight. Everything went their way against Moshannon Valley as Windber made off with a 52-31 victory. Windber has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 21 points or more this season.
Windber was led to victory by Kaylie Gaye and Mariah Andrews. Gaye scored 11 points along with four steals, while Andrews dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Gaye hasn't dropped below two steals for eight straight games. Cailin Jablon was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Windber is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Moshannon Valley, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Windber will face off against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Moshannon Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against the Owls at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
