Cedar Vale/Dexter waltzed into their game on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They were the clear victors by a 74-50 margin over the Northeast Vikings. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 24 points or more this season.

Cedar Vale/Dexter's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Cooper Criss, who rushed for 155 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.1 yards per carry, and also threw for 120 yards on six of 18 attempts. Those 155 rushing yards gave Criss a new career-high. Another rusher making a difference was Royce Potter, who gained 222 total yards and four touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Cedar Vale/Dexter was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 440 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Cedar Vale/Dexter's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Northeast, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Cedar Vale/Dexter will take on Flinthills at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans will be up against the Mustangs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Northeast does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
