The Overfelt Royals lost against the Mt. Pleasant Cardinals back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Overfelt took a 49-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals.
It was another big night for Snowe DeLeon, who scored 24 points for Mt. Pleasant. That makes it eight consecutive games in which DeLeon has scored at least a third of Mt. Pleasant's points. Tracy Doan was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Overfelt's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Mt. Pleasant, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-11.
Overfelt will be playing at home against the Comets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. James Lick is no doubt hoping to put an end to a 15-game streak of away losses. As for Mt. Pleasant, they will head out on the road to face off against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. San Jose is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
