And based on our list of the top linebackers in prep football the Big 10 might have a new Linebacker U., as two of the players have committed to stay in-state and play for Ohio State. The Buckeyes have the top-rated recruiting class for 2022 and C.J. Hicks of Archbishop Alter (Kettering, Ohio) and Gabe Powers of Marysville (Ohio) certainly help that cause.
Texas lands three players on this list, led by five-star Harold Perkins of Cypress Park (Cypress) who tops the 10 selections.
Malik Bryant of IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.) and Anthony Hill Jr. of Ryan (Denton, Texas) are the only non-seniors and both played pivotal roles for their teams last season as the Ascenders finished as MaxPreps National Champions while Denton Ryan finished No. 8 in the MaxPreps Top 25.
