On Friday, Corydon Central came up short against South Knox  and fell  59-48. While losing is never fun, Corydon Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings  (they are ranked 106th, while South Knox is ranked 11th).
 Corydon Central's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Josie Vaughn, who  scored 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Alyssa Groover, who  scored 12 points.
 Corydon Central's loss was  their third straight at home, which  bumped their record down to 8-7. As for South Knox, the  win was  the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-1.
 Corydon Central won't have much time to rest: their next  match is against Lanesville at 2:00  p.m.  on December 30, 2023. That game will pit two of the most dominant  guards against one another:  Hadley Crosier and  Vaughn.
