Even though the Tombstone Yellow Jackets scored an imposing 65 points on Thursday, the Valley Union Blue Devils still came out on top. Valley Union secured a 69-65 W over Tombstone. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Valley Union.
Valley Union's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Landon Glenn, who scored 31 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Glenn has scored at least 25% of Valley Union's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Mitchell, who scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals.
Valley Union's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Tombstone, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-1.
Valley Union will stay at home for another game and welcome Arizona School for the Deaf & Blind at 5:00 p.m. on December 1st. As for Tombstone, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Augustine Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Augustine Catholic has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 256 points over their last four contests.
