The Jeannette Jayhawks will head out on the road to face off against the Northgate Flames at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Northgate took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Jeannette, who comes in off a win.
On Monday, Jeannette didn't have too much trouble with Carlynton on the road as they won 38-24. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Jeannette has managed all season.
Jeannette got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Navarah Smith out in front who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adriana Allison, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Northgate's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They fell to Avella 32-26. Northgate has not had much luck with Avella recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
The win got Jeannette back to even at 2-2. As for Northgate, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-4.
Jeannette couldn't quite finish off Northgate when the teams last played on December 2nd and fell 27-24. Can Jeannette avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
