Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lugoff-Elgin). They snuck past the Lower Richland Diamond Hornets with a 66-60 victory on Tuesday. With that win, the Demons brought their scoring average up to 52 points per game.
Lugoff-Elgin got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was JT Williams out in front who shot 64% from the field on his way to 19 points along with six boards and five steals. Williams has also been stellar as far as shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 46% every time he's hit the court this season. Milika Webber was another key player, dropping a double-double with 16 points and 16 rebounds.
The win (which was Lugoff-Elgin's third in a row) raised their record to 3-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points over those games. As for Lower Richland, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
