The Menlo School Knights will square off against the Woodside Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Menlo School's favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home while Woodside has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
On Thursday, Menlo School was able to grind out a solid win over Half Moon Bay, taking the game 8-3. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Jackson Flanagan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on nine hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

Meanwhile, Woodside didn't have quite enough to beat El Camino on Thursday and fell 4-3.
Joseph Hohl was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off eight hits.
At the plate, Cruz Torres made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Woodside is 2-1 when Torres posts three or more hits, but 7-11 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Trent Amoroso, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two doubles.
Menlo School's win bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Woodside, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12.
Menlo School might still be hurting after the 7-1 loss they got from Woodside in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can the Knights avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
