The Lompoc Braves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Righetti by a score of 43-40. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lompoc in their matchups with Righetti: they've now lost eight in a row.
Lompoc's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jalisa Dixon, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds, and Grace Baird who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dixon has scored all season.
Lompoc's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Righetti, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
Lompoc and Sanger will face off at 10:30 a.m. on December 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Righetti won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Atascadero at 9:00 a.m. on December 9th. Atascadero will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1071st, while Righetti is ranked 318th).
