Eureka proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by eight) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Lindbergh Flyers 7-6. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
The team relied heavily on Shelby Seiler, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayleigh Niles, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Eureka's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Lindbergh, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Looking ahead, Eureka will head out on the road to face off against Howell at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Lindbergh, they will welcome Fort Zumwalt West at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
