Baseball Recap: Midtown Drops Season-High Score on Creekside

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Midtown). They put the hurt on the Creekside Seminoles with a sharp 17-7 victory on Tuesday. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Seminoles recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Midtown got a massive performance out of Lyndon Wiilliams, who scored four runs and stole three bases while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave Wiilliams a new career-high. Taylor Goldstein was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Midtown's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Creekside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Midtown will square off against Drew at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Midtown is facing Drew at the right time seeing as Drew is stuck on a 15-game losing streak. As for Creekside, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mays at 6:00 p.m. on the 14th.
