The Community Charter Titans suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. They were beaten by Lakeview Charter 69-12. Community Charter was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-8.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lakeview Charter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alani Kyles, who scored 24 points along with six steals and five assists. Another player making a difference was Evelyn Quinonez, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 steals.
Community Charter are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 10.0 points per game. As for Lakeview Charter, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Community Charter will face off against Triumph Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Triumph Charter is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. Lakeview Charter won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Buckley at 3:30 p.m. on January 19th. Buckley is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
