Evan Perez made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Glenn is 4-2 when Perez allows one or fewer hits, but 2-7 otherwise. Perez was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Glenn let Bert Alvarado Rodriguez and Jonah Mason run wild. Alvarado Rodriguez went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI, while Mason went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Mason has become a key player for Glenn: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Julian Moreno, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
Glenn was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2025.
Meanwhile, Firebaugh got themselves on the board against St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy on Monday, but St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy never followed suit. They came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 3-0.
The result came thanks to Kevin Heraldez's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up ten Ks.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ivan Aquino, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Adrian Ramirez also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Firebaugh's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Glenn, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9.
Glenn got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in March of 2023 against Firebaugh by a conclusive 14-3 score. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Falcons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
