Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Northside's 11th in Last 12 Outings

Northside won the last time they faced Shaw and things went their way on Tuesday too. Northside put the hurt on Shaw with a sharp 10-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

Noah Thomason looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Luke Norsworthy, who scored three runs while going 2-for-2. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Javion Windham, who scored a run and stole two bases.

Northside hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Shaw struck out eight times.

Northside has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. Shaw's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northside will welcome Harris County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shaw, they will host Calvary Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
