Softball Recap: Kellyville Has No Trouble Against Okmulgee

While Kellyville put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Okmulgee. The Ponies put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 12-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Ponies, who have now won three matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Tatum Neal looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Kellyville got a massive performance out of Lizzie Critser, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That stolen base was Critser's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Charleigh Billingsly, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

Kellyville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .700. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The victory got Kellyville back to even at 3-3. As for Okmulgee, they are on a 16-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-13.

Kellyville and Okmulgee could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings. The Ponies will square off against Chandler at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (150 vs. 13). Meanwhile, Okmulgee (ranked 259th) will meet Kiefer (ranked 30th) at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
