St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) and Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) switched places in this week's MaxPreps West Region Football Rankings.

St. John Bosco moved up to No. 3 following its 56-14 win over St. Peter's Prep (Jersey City, N.J.) while Mater Dei dropped to No. 4, despite a 42-26 win over Edison (Huntington Beach).

Punahou (Honolulu) also re-entered the rankings at No. 14 after a 51-45 win over St. Louis.

Regional rankings are based on the MaxPreps Computer Rankings, presented by the Army National Guard. The West Region consists of teams from Hawaii, Alaska, Colorado, Wyoming, California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana and Utah.
