The Vista Murrieta Broncos waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They blew past Chaparral 58-29 on the road. That's another feather in the cap for Vista Murrieta, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Alyson Pulsipher was a one-man wrecking crew for Vista Murrieta as she scored 18 points along with six rebounds and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kohen Marshall, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Chaparral's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Zetta Faasua, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds, and Angela Dela Cruz who scored nine points along with three steals. Faasua has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played.
Vista Murrieta has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-16 record this season. As for Chaparral, they dropped their record down to 11-13 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
Vista Murrieta will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Windward at 7:00 p.m. on February 8th. Vista Murrieta has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 372 points over their last six matchups. Chaparral does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
