Sheridan has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Clinton Central Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Sheridan focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday.
In what's become a running theme this season, Sheridan gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They put the hurt on Delphi Community with a sharp 58-33 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Sheridan has posted since December 15, 2023.
Kenzie Garner continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. She hasn't dropped below 15points for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Nova Cross, who scored 16 points.
Meanwhile, Clinton Central came tearing into Thursday's contest with 14 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down Rossville 45-30. Given Clinton Central's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 68th, while Rossville is ranked 230th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Sheridan's record is now 15-4. As for Clinton Central, they pushed their record up to 20-1 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home.
Sheridan skirted past Clinton Central 45-42 when the teams last played back in January of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sheridan since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
