After both having extra time off, the Pen Argyl Green Knights and the Palisades Pirates will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 6:45 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Pen Argyl had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 51-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Palmerton last Thursday.
Meanwhile, Palisades' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 58-28 defeat at the hands of Panther Valley.
Pen Argyl's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Palisades, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-2.
Everything came up roses for Pen Argyl against Palisades in their previous matchup back in January as the squad secured a 55-24 victory. Will Pen Argyl repeat their success, or does Palisades have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
