Mission Viejo will head into Tuesday's game hoping to keep the good times rolling: they had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 23-point drubbing they dealt Capistrano Valley on Tuesday. Mission Viejo put the hurt on Capistrano Valley with a sharp 47-24 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Diablos have posted since December 10, 2024.

It was another big night for Sofia Gozzo, who went 11 of 22 on her way to 26 points in addition to eight boards and eight steals. Those 26 points gave her a new career-high. Savanna Whitesides was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds.

Mission Viejo smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 32 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in five consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Tesoro entered their matchup against El Toro on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Tesoro fell 61-48 to El Toro.

Mission Viejo's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 8-16. As for Tesoro, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-8.
